Hunts are conducted about 2 miles outside of Shandon, CA 17 miles east of Paso Robles. Each hunt is one and a half days long. Half day being the first day starting at noon and finishing end of legal shooting time.
The first few hours of day one will be checking DOPE (Data of Personal Equipment) and making sure all firearms are accurate and in working order. The second day will start and end at legal shooting times. Pigs average between 150-180 pounds with the occasional 250+ pound trophy boar. Trophy boars can be taken but are not guaranteed. Hunts will be conducted on nearly 40,000 acres of rolling hills and oak trees. There is also farming on the leases including alfalfa, barely, grapes and other miscellaneous farming. There is plenty of fresh water and natural springs through out the leases which creates healthier and better tasting hogs.
